For any list of games with great music you find, it is a given that Doom Eternal will be on it. On the off chance you’ve never heard of the game, here’s a quick overview: Doom Eternal is a first-person shooter game where you play as the Doom Slayer and blow-up creepy demons with wicked weaponry. If you liked the gameplay for the Shadow Warrior franchise or Borderlands 3, then you’re sure to enjoy Doom Eternal. With the infamous Mick Gordon who worked on games like Wolfenstein and Destroy All Humans!2, it’s not a surprise that the soundtrack is an absolute banger. Out of the composers who contributed to the Doom Eternal soundtrack also worked on the Killing Floor franchise, another great game with awesome music.

Killing Floor is an epic zombie game franchise with a long soundtrack full off awesome heavy metal that takes a new perspective on familiar every-day tunes. The first game came out in 2009, making it one of the first to try the innovative mix of zombies and heavy metal. With the third game coming out soon, now is the perfect time to check out Killing Floor.

One up and coming indie game with awesome music and gameplay is Hi Fi Rush. Hi Fi Rush, released quite recently, has seen great success, with 2 million players already. Hi Fi Rush follows Chai, whose heart was fused with a music box, on his journey to escape from a “sinister corporation.” With unique rhythm-based fighting, Hi Fi Rush allows you to create expressive rock music whilst fighting evil robots.

The music composition team for the Hi Fi Rush soundtrack consists of Shuichi Kobori who previously worked for Konami, Reo Uratani who worked for Capcom, and sound designer Masatoshi Yanagi who has worked on games in the past such as Ghostwire Tokyo and The Evil Within 2. Check out Hi Fi Rush while it’s hot!
